German Gonzales has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, a Master's degree in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, and is a Specialist in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering with a Diploma in Road and Environmental Auditing. He is a Civil Engineer from the Technical University of Oruro. Currently, he is the Academic Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Engineering and Technology in La Paz. He is a manager and creator of academic projects for postgraduate Diplomas and Master's degrees in various areas of engineering. He is a full professor of several subjects in the field of Civil Engineering, including Highway and Bridge Management and Supervision, Foundation Engineering, Soil Mechanics 1 and 2, Shallow and Deep Foundations, Road Geotechnics and Soil Improvement, Slope Stabilization and Protection, Rock Mechanics, Project Management, Control and Supervision of Construction Projects according to PMI, and Technology applied in Geotechnics and soil studies for civil construction. He also specializes in the analysis and rehabilitation of foundations, real estate development projects, and soft skills for construction. He is a specialist with over 25 years of experience in the field of civil engineering, in projects involving Design, Supervision, and Construction of Road Works, real estate project development, civil and geotechnical infrastructure works. Experience in various consulting and construction projects gives him clear and updated knowledge, which he combines with new trends, new technologies, and updated research that are conveyed in teaching.
