CESAR WILDE VILLAGOMEZ VILLARROEL, PH.D.

Cesar Villagomez Villarroel is a founding professor at UPB since 1992. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in 1988, his master's degree in Business Administration from UPB in 1998, and later participated in a joint Doctoral Program between UPB and the University of Seville, with his thesis approved with honors in 2008 on the topic "Decision Making in Innovative Companies." This gave him access to the "Research Sufficiency" certification. He started his teaching career at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in 1989. At UPB, he was Head of the Production Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Systems programs before becoming Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (from 1999 to February 2022). In addition to teaching Operations Research I and having taught Quantitative Methods and Management of Technological Innovation in master's programs, he has been working for some years on developing a new topic in Linear Programming called Predictive Analysis. He is also the author of a chapter in the book "Technological Foresight in Latin America: evolution and perspectives" published in Brazil.
