He holds a master's degree in microelectronics and microsystems from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany, and a PhD in signal processing and inverse problems from the University of Delaware, where he was recognized with the Signal Processing, Communications and Control Faculty Award. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
