Hernán Naranjo Mejía is an economist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE). He completed master's studies in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy at Wageningen University (WUR) in the Netherlands and is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Agro-food Economics at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). He is part of the Department of Economics at UPB. As a researcher, his main areas of interest are related to the agricultural sector, food security and nutrition, gender, and education. He has published books and articles in international journals, and he is also a consultant on development projects.
