Hugo Rojas completed his undergraduate and master's studies in physics-mathematics at the University of Geneva-Switzerland and his doctorate in the field of computational condensed matter physics at the same university. He was a teaching assistant at the École de Physique of the University of Geneva and worked at the University of Cambridge-England as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Cavendish Laboratory. He participated in several joint research projects involving the University of Geneva, Charmilles Technologies S.A., and the École d’Ingénieurs de Genève. Since 1995, he has been associated with UPB and currently holds the position of Vice-Rector for Research.
