Juan E. Cabrera studied architecture and sociology at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) in Bolivia. He completed his doctorate in urbanism at the University of Liège in 2015 in Belgium and developed two postdoctoral stays: between 2018 and 2019 at the Free University of Brussels and in 2022-2023 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is a professor of urbanism and a researcher at UPB and a professor at UMSS. He has published dozens of scientific articles and has academic collaborations with several countries in Latin America and Europe. He has won several scientific awards, as well as international research grants.
