Sandra Ibáñez-Calero obtained her Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France. She holds a Master of Arts in Organic Synthesis and a Master of Science in Natural Products Chemistry from the University of Illinois in Illinois, United States. She has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in Bolivia. For over ten years, she has worked as a teacher/researcher at UPB. Additionally, she is the head of the Environmental Engineering and Alternative Energies programs and Bioengineering in Natural Resources at the La Paz campus.
