Ing. Williams Gonzales, Ph.D. Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering and Technology - Private University of Bolivia In his academic training, he completed a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering in the Thermal, Fluids, and Energy Area at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA. He holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in the area of energy and simulation of refrigeration systems and thermal processes. He also obtained a Master’s in Applied Renewable Energies in Buildings from the International University of Andalusia, Spain, in the area of solar refrigeration/climatization. He developed an MBA specialization in Industrial/Business Production Management at the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil, in the area of process optimization in manufacturing. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the National Engineering Faculty of the Technical University of Oruro. He has a Diploma in University Teaching with a Mention in Educational Management awarded by UPB. In his professional field, he was Superintendent of Production at Jeis Sanitary Porcelain and Project Manager of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction. He was Head of Operations and Maintenance at the Industrial Steel Complex. In his academic career, he developed undergraduate and graduate training projects, was Head of the program, and managed graduate programs in the field of Engineering as well as in-company programs for the industry. He was the first Academic Director of the Graduate School of Engineering. Currently, at the Private University of Bolivia, he is Dean of Graduate Studies in Engineering and Technology. He is a manager and academic director and tenured professor of the master’s and diploma programs in the areas of energy, oil & gas, renewable energies, industrial processes, automation and control, asset management and maintenance, risk assessment, and industrial innovation processes. He has published scientific articles in indexed journals such as the International Journal of Refrigeration, is involved in research and innovation projects, participates in international conferences and seminars, and is a senior consultant in the areas of energy, oil & gas, productivity, and O&M in the industry.
