Description
The Center for Biotechnology Research (CIBIO) aims to support companies and institutions in the local community through applied research in biotechnology, using molecular biology and bioinformatics tools in strategic development areas such as medicine, agriculture, agro-industry, and conservation of genetic resources.

Molecular Adaptation to Climate Change: study of biological mechanisms in response to droughts, floods, and environmental stress.
Applied Omics and Metagenomics: research on microorganisms with biotechnological potential in various ecosystems.
Transmission of Diseases: bioinformatics and genomic analysis of associated biological processes.
Biological Data and Environmental Quality: evaluation of antibiotic resistance, contamination, and environmental quality.
