The UPB was founded in 1992 in response to the economic and institutional crisis that Bolivia had been experiencing since the 1980s. Driven by the business community, UPB focuses on training professionals and entrepreneurs committed to the development of the country, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, research, and innovation.
The university has achieved national and international recognition, standing out as the best private university in Bolivia and adapting to current challenges through a multimodal academic model. These achievements reflect institutional leadership and the support of the organized business sector.
